There is no doubt that events and celebrations pull people together. Here at Fox Run Senior Living, we believe Halloween is a perfect time to build up our team and encourage workplace camaraderie. It helps create traditions, provides opportunities for intergenerational fun, and builds positive morale within the team. Plus, it’s a great holiday to let the team break loose and plan some seasonal fun!
This year, our team will be hosting a trunk-or-treat. Employees and resident families will be dressed in costumes passing out candy. I think, for our residents, it brings back good memories for them, dressing their children up for trick-or-treating or maybe even thinking back on how they would dress up for Halloween. I believe seeing the children in costumes brings smiles to their faces and warms their hearts.
Traditions like this are important because it brings our community together and provides a sense of belonging for those who may feel like an outsider. We can come together and be silly looking or scary looking and everyone is having a good time. No one will be judged or must be embarrassed; we’re just have fun.
Celebrating Halloween at work can be a great opportunity to have fun while team building and improving company culture. As the Business Office Director, I love having these built-in opportunities to have fun and grow together as a team!
